Why should we eat Vegetables?

Have you ever wondered why we eat vegetables? Without vegetables, can we die? Yes, people can die without any vegetables in their diets, or they can suffer serious health problems. Here is why:

Vegetables are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, including folate, a vitamin that can treat certain types of anemia or can be used for a woman that is pregnant or plans to get pregnant. Vegetables also include vitamin C, which can help you with growth and development and strengthen your immune system. Potassium is another vital nutrient in vegetables which help regulate fluid balance, nerve signals and muscle contractions. Vegetables are also a good source of dietary fiber. Fiber is important because it helps you maintain a healthy gut and prevents constipation and other digestive problems. It can also lower your risk of contracting bowel cancer.

Overall, you can see that it is very important to have vegetables in your diet if your plan is to be healthy.
